Here the learners are sharing their topic with each other. They have 2 minutes to tell the other person what their session will be based on, and to use the other person as a soundboard to bounce off ideas for learning activities.

Hi, thanks a lot for the message! Yes, I like this because firstly it doesn't make the learners speak to every other person, just about half the group. It gives them a short period of time to quickly discuss with others and share their ideas. Trainers should be able to think on their feet which is also what I am trying to encourage :-) My learners enjoy the chance to share their ideas for their training presentations with others and get new ideas on how to approach and apply their skills. I get some good feedback from it :)

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Maria :-) It's one of the many different activities that I pull out of my head! I believe that teaching is like any other trade - we have a toolbox and we go into our teaching toolbox to solve a problem in our professional practice
