Welcome to the new Campus Kungsgården and YA! Vocational College of Ostrobothnia.

YA! is a shortening of Yrkesakademin i Österbotten. The head office is in the city of Vasa, on the western coast of Finland

My name is Kim Byholm and I work as development coordinator and educator. I am teaching economics and business administration.

The new Campus Kungsgården was built about two years ago. You can find more pictures of Campus Kungsgården on this site in other blogs from YA! Ostrobothnia.

On the second picture is our B-building, that is mostly used by adult students.

As you can see, the weather has been unusual sunny and warm. Usually in November we enjoy snow- and rain showers, but not this autumn - the climate has been exceptional dry.

  2. Almoust all of them are working fulltime. Usually they participate in this program as a part of their professional development. To graduate, they have to show their level of knowledge in a real working situation, in worklife (on the job). Usually they need at least 2-3 years of working experience to graduate. In our adult vocational graduating system we have 3 levels. The students i refere to above is graduation from level 2 (yrkesexamen)
